Register by August 18
Please note: Incoming 4th graders, and anyone else who needs new jerseys, should register by August 4 to receive jerseys in time for the first game!
Grade Eligibility: Girls in 4th grade through 12th grade in September 2025. There will also be a 2nd-3rd grade fall softball program - stay tuned for more information!
- 10U: Girls play one game each Sunday, starting either at 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. There will be one practice per week, usually on Saturday.
- 12U & 14U: Girls play one or two games each Sunday, with the first game starting at 9am and second game starting at 11am. There will be one practice per week, usually on Saturday. We try to structure it so that girls generally will play a single game each Sunday, although doubleheaders are possible depending on roster size.
- 18U: Girls play one extended (9 inning) game each Sunday, with games starting at 9:30 or 10am. Practices may be scheduled at the coach’s discretion. Some prior softball or baseball experience is expected for 18U.
Wellesley’s fall teams participate in the Charles River Fall Softball League at the 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U divisions against teams from Newton, Needham, Natick, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, and other neighboring towns. Games are scheduled on Sunday mornings beginning September 14 and running to the end of October (excluding Oct. 13).
Practices generally will be held on Saturday afternoons. The 10U through 14U levels will include professionally-led pitching instruction. The times are not yet determined and may vary from week to week. Given the relaxed nature of fall softball, we understand if you need to miss practices or pitching instruction due to other Saturday commitments.
10U/12U/14U Uniforms: Players will use the same set of light/dark jerseys that they received for spring Junior and Senior Leagues. Incoming 4th grade girls as well as anyone else who doesn’t have spring Junior/Senior jerseys to re-use will need to order their jerseys when registering; there is a $50 jersey charge. The jerseys are high quality, with last names on backs, and will be carried forward to future spring/fall seasons until outgrown. In addition, families must provide softball pants, which should be black.
18U Uniforms: New players will receive a single jersey to be worn this fall and in future fall seasons.
